Version 2.0 includes additional materials, update of material properties, and consolidation of BASF, former Capron® and Celanese® nylon materials. You should expect to see some slight changes from the previous version in the results even for equivalent materials based on this updated information. All materials have some results in the “dry” moisture state.

Version 2.0 also includes a new “User Defined” coefficient of friction field that can be used in the snap fit calculations.

Version 2.0 also includes new information concerning the applicability of ramp angle/friction pairings for calculating proper insertion and pull-off forces.
